Phil Mison, known as Cantoma, is a renowned figure in the Balearic chill-out music scene, drawing inspiration from chill-out DJ José Padilla. His career began in 1991 at London’s Milk Bar, leading to a notable residency at Cafe Del Mar in Ibiza. Phil’s DJing at Café Del Mar and clubs globally led to his first compilation in 1995, followed by twelve more, including the Real Ibiza series. As Cantoma, he released three albums and several 12″‘s on labels like Leng and Music For Dreams. Collaborating with Pete Herbert as Reverso 68 on Eskimo Recordings, he’s played at prestigious venues worldwide, including a tour of Japan.
