We invite you to join the Grand Opening of “Reframing the Frame”, the official launch of a new initiative dedicated to advancing screen culture and strengthening Albania’s film ecosystem. 🎥
This inaugural event will bring together institutional representatives, filmmakers, curators, writers, and policymakers to present the vision, activities, and strategic directions of the project. 🤝
The programme includes a presentation of the project by the organisers, opening remarks by Ms. Lira Pipa, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport, and representatives of the British Council, as well as a presentation by the British Film Institute on the international strategy “Screen Culture 2033”, delivered by Ms. Miranda Gower-Qian, Manager of Cultural Collaborations at BFI. 🌍
The event will also introduce the key components of the project, including unique cine-concert screenings of three silent films accompanied by live music, professional workshops, commissioned critical writings, and a structured dialogue on cultural policies. 🎼🖋️
The event will be moderated by Donika Çina and Iris Elezi and will be followed by an open reception for participants. ✨
“Reframing the Frame” is implemented by United Nations Association Albania in collaboration with the Albanian Cinematheque and the British Film Institute (BFI) as the UK partner.
“Reframing the Frame” is supported by the British Council WB-UK Creative Skills Development Fund, which enables partnerships between the Western Balkans and the UK. This initiative, part of the British Council’s Creative Economy Programme, supports the creative industries as strategic economic sectors with transformative potential, with a specific focus on empowering youth skills and employment.🌏

Miranda Gower-Qian, Menaxhere e Bashkëpunimeve Kulturore në BFI. 🌍
Eventi do të prezantojë gjithashtu komponentët kryesorë të projektit, duke përfshirë projeksione unike kino-koncert të tre filmave pa zë, workshopet profesionale, shkrimet kritike të komisionuara, dhe procesin e dialogut mbi politikat kulturore. 🎼🖋️
Eventi do të moderohet nga Donika Çina dhe Iris Elezi, si dhe do të pasohet nga një pritje e hapur për pjesëmarrësit. ✨
