As part of “Reframing the Frame”, we are launching a two-day 🎼 #workshop on Film Composing — an extraordinary opportunity for young filmmakers, composers, and musicians to deepen their knowledge and expand their professional horizons. 🎬✨

Musical composition is essential to the film industry. It shapes emotion, atmosphere, rhythm, and narrative impact. In Albanian cinematography, film music was historically performed by the RTSH Orchestra, which provided strong institutional support and professional expertise. After the systemic changes, the sector experienced fragmentation of capacities and a weakening of this important tradition.
This workshop responds directly to that gap.
Led by a renowned international composer with extensive experience collaborating with major European film institutions and festivals, the workshop offers a rare opportunity to engage with high-level expertise in film composition and live musical accompaniment. 🎻🎶
Participants will explore the relationship between image and sound, develop practical skills, and reconnect with a significant cinematic tradition.
The workshop also connects to the revival of cine-concerts🎥🎹 — live musical performances accompanying film screenings — a practice rooted in silent cinema and today reimagined through archival works and experimental film.

Kompozimi muzikor është thelbësor për industrinë e filmit 🎬. Ai formëson emocionin, atmosferën, ritmin dhe ndikimin narrativ 🎶. Në kinematografinë shqiptare, muzika e filmit interpretohej historikisht nga Orkestra e RTSH-së, e cila ofronte mbështetje të fortë institucionale dhe ekspertizë profesionale. Pas ndryshimeve të sistemit, ky sektor përjetoi fragmentim kapacitetesh dhe dobësim të kësaj tradite. Ky workshop i përgjigjet drejtpërdrejt këtij boshllëku.
I udhëhequr nga një kompozitor ndërkombëtar i mirënjohur, me përvojë të gjerë bashkëpunimi me institucione dhe festivale të rëndësishme evropiane të filmit, workshopi ofron një mundësi të rrallë për t’u përballur me ekspertizë të nivelit të lartë në fushën e kompozimit dhe shoqërimit muzikor live 🎻🎶.
Pjesëmarrësit do të eksplorojnë marrëdhënien midis imazhit dhe tingullit 🎥🎹 duke zhvilluar aftësi praktike dhe duke u rilidhur me një traditë të rëndësishme kinematografike.
Workshopi lidhet gjithashtu me ringjalljen e kinokoncerteve 🎥🎹 — performanca muzikore live që shoqërojnë projeksionet filmike, një praktikë e rrënjosur në kinemanë pa zë dhe sot e rimenduar përmes arkivave dhe kinemasë eksperimentale.
