njëZETA: Albanian Contemporary Art between 2007–2027
Opening: 5 November 2026, 6:00 PM
Exhibition dates: 5–25 November 2026
On the eve of its 20th anniversary, ZETA Center for Contemporary Art presents its collection, which has recently undergone a process of digitization and archival cataloguing.
Over the past two decades, ZETA has welcomed, encouraged, and supported successive generations of artists, providing an independent space for the development and presentation of contemporary Albanian art. An important part of this commitment is its support for the Ardhje Award. Each year, the award enables an artist under the age of 35 to take part in an artist residency in New York. In addition, ZETA partners with international artist exchange programmes, creating opportunities for dialogue, collaboration, and the sharing of experiences between Albanian artists and artists from partner countries.
Alongside these activities, ZETA has built a collection of works by contemporary Albanian artists over the years, primarily through donations. While not exhaustive, the collection stands as an important record of the artistic practices of different generations and the evolution of contemporary Albanian art over recent decades.
The project was realized with the support of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport.
